Carnelian Stone Polished Round Natural Dangle Drop Earrings

Gorgeous shiny polished carnelian stones. They are a round with beveled/wavy edge. The light shines through them showing all of the perfectly imperfect inclusions and naturalness. They are for pierced ears and have ear wires. They are a deep dark orange.

They measure 2 inches in length, a bit over 1 inch across and a bit more than 1/8 thick.

Previously owned and in excellent condition.

Carnelian has been used in artifacts dating back to the Bronze Age and has been associated with many different meanings and uses throughout history:
Ancient times
The Romans believed it was a stone of courage, and in ancient Egypt, it was placed on mummies to help them in the afterlife. It was also used for signet rings by the ancient Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans.
New Age healing
Today, some New Age practitioners believe carnelian can purify the blood, provide strength, and soothe emotions. They also associate it with symbolic meanings of warmth, strength, courage, and creativity.
