Vintage Delicate 1940's Shell and Scale Floral Brooch and Earrings Set

In doing research on this pretty set, some refer to this style as shark teeth and I know what sharks teeth look like. I also read somewhere that these are made from scales of a gar fish.
There are 4 different colored roses on the brooch and 3 on the earrings. The earrings are screw back earrings. The clasp on the brooch is just a loop that the pin tucks into

The brooch measures roughly 3 inches long, 1.75 inches wide and 1 inch thick.

Previously owned and overall in great shape. It appears that some of the fish scales around the edge may have broken off. Not enough that is super noticeable.
