Vintage 1978 Royal Copenhagen Mors Dag (Mother's Day) Blue and White Plate Blond Mother and Daughter

1984 Royal Copenhagen porcelain collectible Mother's Day plate. It is blue and white and depicts a mother and a daughter in matching striped dresses, On the back it is stamped Royal Copenhagen Denmark Mother's Day and a blue stamp that looks like waves followed by the letter W. There are 2 small holes in the back side of the plate, a part of the design, making it easy to hang on the wall to display.

The plate measures roughly 6 inches across.

Previously owned and in excellent condition. No chips, cracks, crazing or repairs. I do not have the original box for this one.

Bing and Grondahl was established in 1853 when Copenhagen was still a small town. A young sculptor named Frederik Vilhelm Grondahl and two brothers M. H. and J. H. Bing combined their capital and Bing & Grondahl Porcelain factory became a reality. The company to the Royal Courts of Denmark, Sweden and Great Britain. Their figurines and plates can be found in many of the worlds noted Museums including the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
