Vintage 1971 Bing and Grondahl B&G Mors Dag (Mother's Day) Blue and White Plate, Cat and kitten

1971 Copenhagen porcelain collectible Mother's Day plate. It is blue and white and depicts a lovely Striped cat mother snuggling with her kitten. There is a bowl of milk nearby. On the back it is stamped Copenhagen Porcelain Made in Denmark B&G 8000/9371 Mother's Day and a blue hand painted V. There are 2 small holes in the back side of the plate, a part of the design, making it easy to hang on the wall to display.

The plate measures roughly 6 inches across.

Previously owned and in excellent condition. No chips, cracks, crazing or repairs. I do have the original box for this one. The box has some wear to it about a 1 inch rip which I put a small piece of clear tape over. In order for the lowest cost in shipping for you, I have to drive the package to UPS That is the only reason for the 2 days

Bing and Grondahl was established in 1853 when Copenhagen was still a small town. A young sculptor named Frederik Vilhelm Grondahl and two brothers M. H. and J. H. Bing combined their capital and Bing & Grondahl Porcelain factory became a reality. The company to the Royal Courts of Denmark, Sweden and Great Britain. Their figurines and plates can be found in many of the worlds noted Museums including the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
